The Kenshi Texturizing Shear is the blending partner to the Kenshi cutting range, sharing the same sculpted engraved handle and ball-bearing pivot. It is made for stylists and barbers who want soft, seamless texture rather than heavy bulk removal.
Tooth count decides how a texturizer behaves. A higher count like the 40 teeth on this blade removes a smaller amount of hair with each pass than a wide-tooth thinner, which makes it suited to fine blending, softening hard lines and finishing rather than bulk removal. Used through the mid-lengths and ends it breaks up weight gradually and leaves a natural, blended result with fewer visible lines.
VG-10 is a Japanese high-carbon stainless steel valued for edge retention and corrosion resistance, hardened here to around 60-61 HRC. The solid blade carries a hand-honed convex edge that meets the toothed blade cleanly, so hair is caught and released smoothly without pushing or bending.
