Japanese Craftsmanship & Technology
The Aero-Pro Texturizing Shear embodies the pinnacle of Japanese scissor engineering, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced materials science. Each texturizer is meticulously handcrafted by master artisans, with every tooth individually finished for optimal performance.
The revolutionary aluminum-cobalt alloy undergoes a proprietary heat treatment process that enhances both hardness and flexibility. This creates teeth that maintain exceptional sharpness while remaining remarkably light — reducing hand fatigue during detailed texturing work.
Unlike mass-produced texturizers, each Aero-Pro undergoes a meticulous 30-step production process. The precision-milled teeth are individually inspected and hand-finished to ensure perfect alignment and cutting action. This extraordinary attention to detail results in texturizing shears that deliver consistent, predictable results across all hair types.
The specialized Seimitsu Kinchō Seigyo (precision tension control) system allows for exact adjustment of blade resistance, maintaining your preferred setting throughout extended styling sessions. Each shear is individually serial numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the master craftsman.
Model Guide
APT-30 (30 Teeth): With a 30% cut ratio, this versatile texturizer provides balanced thinning and texturing. Perfect for blending layers, creating movement, and general texturing work. Ideal for everyday salon use across most hair types and texturing techniques.
APT-40 (40 Teeth): With a more aggressive 40% cut ratio, this specialized texturizer is designed for significant weight removal and dramatic texture creation. Perfect for controlling thick, heavy hair and creating pronounced texture effects. Ideal for stylists working with dense hair types requiring substantial bulk removal.
Professional Opinion
"I've been using the Aero-Pro Texturizing Shears for about 5 months now in my salon, and they've fundamentally changed how I approach texturing work.
First, the weight difference is incredible. Most texturizers are noticeably heavier than cutting shears, which always made detailed texturing work tiring. The Aero-Pro is so light that I can work with precision for hours without hand fatigue — a game-changer for stylists who do alot of texturing.
I opted for the 30-tooth model since I work with a variety of hair types and texturing techniques. The 30% cut ratio is perfect for versatile salon work — substantial enough to make a difference but controlled enough for precision work. What really sets these apart is how they never snag or pull, even on finer hair. The teeth are incredibly smooth through every texture.
The cutting performance has remained perfect despite daily use. No dulling of the teeth, and the tension stays exactly where I set it. That precision tension system is something I never knew I needed until I tried it — makes such a difference in control during detailed work.
Another major advantage is how they pair with the Aero-Pro cutting shears. Having both tools in the same ultra-lightweight design creates a completely consistent feel when transitioning between cutting and texturing.
For stylists who do significant texturing work or anyone concerned about hand strain, these are absolutely worth the investment. They're not just more comfortable — they deliver better, more consistent results across all texturing techniques."

Warranty support is brand and model specific, and applies to confirmed manufacturing defects. Normal dulling, tension adjustment, wear, misuse, chemical damage and improper sharpening are not warranty defects.
Before judging sharpness, check the tension. New professional shears can feel loose or tight after shipping, and a small tension adjustment often fixes hair folding, pushing or uneven cutting.
Clean and dry the blades after use, oil the pivot area, and avoid cutting paper, fabric, plastic, wire or anything other than hair. Use a professional sharpener familiar with hair shears.
I am genuinely impressed! I’ve purchased a lot of professional scissors over the years, but I’ve honestly never seen packaging and presentation at this level. From the moment I opened the box, everything felt premium—from the beautiful leather case and cleaning accessories to the certificate of authenticity and attention to every little detail.
The craftsmanship is outstanding. You can tell these scissors were made with pride and precision. Every accessory is thoughtfully included, and the quality exceeds my expectations. It’s rare to find a company that puts this much care into both the product and the customer experience.
If the performance matches the incredible first impression, these will easily be the best scissors I’ve ever owned. So far, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended to anyone looking for true professional quality. Thank you for creating such an exceptional product!
Bought Ichiro scissors a couple years ago. I’m ready for a Japanese made one. I’ve decided on Juntetsu and lucky me it was on sale and fit my budget. It’s definitely a step up from my previous scissors. It cuts very clean (wet cutting); I can see the difference after the hair dries- more neat.
Love the pouch that comes with it. I don’t regret buying this. And this company has been my go to for hair shears.
Love my new shears. The color is beautiful, slightly more gold than rose which I am perfectly happy about. My only complaint is that I feel like the end of the shears aren't quite as sharp, but they may just need to be tightened slightly.
I owned three pairs of “Sword” scissors. Kamisori, sensei Fit and now Juntetsu.
I like the smooth cutting feeling of Kamisori. It lasts 5 years. Sensei Fit seems more durable but it isn’t as sharp and smooth as the others. I don’t know how durable this pair of shear last. I purchased it last week. It cuts sharp and smooth. Slightly sharper than Kamisori. They are all very light and balanced shears
Bought these to reduce the strain with the heavy pairs but I was worried it would be too light and not cut. Leave it to Japan to make something half the weight and twice the strength and cutting performance . Balance is top notch . Has made in japan so you known it’s real
Been using Juntetsu since 2019! Just replaced my 6.0” pair I dropped. You can totally get 5000 cuts from these. Japanese shears are the only choice. The best
literally just finished my first full day with these and im in love 😍 was nervous about the 7 inch length coming from 5.5 but it actually makes sectioning so much faster! did 3 fades today and my hand doesn’t even hurt. Arrived fast too 👍
Im obsessed with these juntetsu scissors! These looks beautifully at my station. And they perform all my precision layering and I also do a lot of detailed bob work and these give me great control. 🌈
Still pretty new to the game but my mentor told me to invest in good shears early. These VG10s were def a budget stretch. but what a difference. Only been using them about 3 months but they're still crazy sharp. Gonna be my main shears for sure.
Saturday order received on Friday in SG. It wasn't as good as I had hoped. My old scissors was pulling hair as I thinned the hair roots hair and cutting my hair shorter as well. I'm not sure if it's intended to be this way. The new pair of scissors are worth the cost to have this kind of high-end quality. I am happy with the silky smooth and thinning motion.
Super light! I have been a barber for 5+ years and I am honestly surprised by how light and sturdy these are. Sharp cuts, but the big win for me is lightweight and good ergonomics for my wrist and elbow.
The shears are sharp
My professional sharper makes the convex in this moment better
I have to went use the distance of the fingerstand of the shear a little to close
Not as sharp as I thought they would be. I can hear the cutting which leads me to believe they are dull. When I cut the hair I should not hear the blade cut the hair, it should be smooth and quiet.
I purchased Juntetsu cobalt sword shears. Their weight is just right. They are well balanced in my hand. They are very sharp and purposeful. These are my new favorite shears. My order was processed very quickly and arrived within 3 days of ordering
